Non-citizens of the Republic of Turkey who wish to stay longer than the visa or visa exemption period, specifically more than ninety days, must obtain a residence permit. To receive residence services, foreigners need to apply to the relevant institution, submit the required documents, and meet the conditions of the permit type. Here are the necessary documents:

Individual Residence Permit Required Documents

      Passport (valid for at least 6 months after travel)

      4 biometric photos (taken within the last 6 months, current, white background)

      Proof of income (documents proving regular income)

      Criminal record certificate

      Document stating no social assistance received in the last 3 years

      Copies of previous residence permits (originals if available)

      Document showing continuous residence for 8 years

      Private health insurance

      Long-term residence permit application form

      Fee payment receipts

Required Documents for Family Residence Permit

Documents to be submitted by the applicant:

      Residence permit application form

      Signed or e-signed document replacing the passport or equivalent

      4 biometric photos

      Additional documents if required

Documents to be submitted by the sponsor:

      Signed or e-signed document replacing the passport or equivalent

      Original and copy of the ID card

      Proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration

      Health insurance for all applying family members

      Original and copy of the residence permit or equivalent document

      Criminal record certificate

      Proof of address registration (can be obtained from population directorates)
